About the course
Take a deep dive into the fascinating world of Scottish art across key historical periods. You will explore early Christian art and learn about masterpieces like the Book of Kells; consider how art was transformed during the pivotal upheaval of The Reformation and examine how the union of Scotland and England influenced artistic expression.
You will then go on to look at The Enlightenment era of ideas and innovation with artists like Allan Ramsay and witness the dramatic changes in society and art during The Industrial Revolution. You will end with a look at more contemporary Scottish artists such as Elizabeth Blackadder.
Any essential or recommended reading will be shared by the course teacher once the course is confirmed to run.
You will require access to a device with an internet connection.
