This half-day course is made up of three sessions.In the first part of this session, we will focus on how to prepare your speech. We will talk about effective ways to plan and design your speech and then we will move on to supporting the speech with visual aids.  

In the second part of this session, we will discuss how to prepare yourself. We will talk about stage fright and ways to control it; we will discuss ways to remember your speech and we will talk about the use of voice and movement to enhance and better communicate your speech.

In the third part of the session, there will be an opportunity for delegates to practice a speech and receive feedback. You will also have the opportunity to watch and evaluate other speeches.

This half-day course is an introduction to public speaking and is suitable for clinical researchers and research team members looking develop their skills in this area.

This course is designed for academic, public sector and charity workers and we are offering it at a discounted price for people working in those sectors.
