About the course

This course is the second step of three progressive steps to complete our beginners level in Russian.

In this course, which is taught in Russian, you will learn to hold a short conversation about yourself, your family, work and hobbies, talk about languages you speak and countries you have been to as well as order food and drinks in a restaurant.

You will develop listening, speaking, reading and writing skills through a variety of learning activities in class and at home. Class-based activities include small-group role-plays, responding to short texts, listening to dialogues or watching video clips. Language learning requires regular practice, and you will consolidate your skills at home, with vocabulary, grammar and writing exercises.

Please note, you will need to buy  textbooks to support your learning on this course. You will find details of the textbooks in the ‘What you’ll learn’ section of the course overview. Please do not purchase any materials until your course is confirmed to run. You will require access to a device with an internet connection to access our learning platform.

What you'll learn

If you have fully engaged with all the learning activities and have attended regularly, by the end of the course, you should be able to:

The above list is indicative and may be subject to change.
